The CIS Lab/Testing Center provides several testing options for students to evaluate academic and work skill levels. The CIS Lab/Testing Center is located is locatedÌýin room D314, in the Beatrice E. Doser Building, on ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s Sidney campus. Please schedule an appointment for all exams.
All testing appointments can be scheduled by contacting the CIS LabÌýat cislab@montcalm.eduÌýor (989) 328-1299 or (989) 328-1295.
Testing Center Policies

General Policies
- Students must check in at the CIS Lab front desk before entering the Testing Center.
- ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is not responsible for personal items left outside testing areas.ÌýThe college has a limited number of lockers available to store your belongings, but if you have valuable items with you, we suggest you take them to your vehicle before starting your test.
- Testing areas are monitored and security cameras are in use.

- Valid photo identification

Prohibited items
- Books and notebooks
- Book bags or backpacks
- Electronics including laptop computers, cell phones and smart watches
- People who are not testing, including childrenÌý
- Any other itemsÌýspecified as prohibitedÌýby your instructor

Make-up Testing
Make-up testing is available for students who missed a test in class. An ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ instructor must complete a test proctor form documenting the need for a make-up exam.Ìý Once the instructor sends the proctor form to the testing center, the student may make an appointment to test.

CMIS Open Lab Course Testing
All CMIS Open Lab course exams can be taken in the CIS Lab/Testing Center.

CLEP TestingThe College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP® ) offers you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know by earning qualifying scores on any of the 33 CLEP examinations.
GED TestingThe GED test allows those who have not completed high school to earn their high school equivalency credential, or general equivalency diploma (GED).
Competency TestingCompetency testing evaluates the level of student skills in a subject area and based on their performance, they may be able to test out of a basic course and enter a higher level course at the college. To test out of a CMIS course, students must register in the CIS Lab, in room D314 in the Beatrice E. Doser Building on ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½'s Sidney campus. All testing for CMIS courses is administered in the CIS Testing Center. Students must provide photo identification at the time of testing.
