Volleyball team wins second home game
The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Centurion volleyball team competed in their second home contest Wednesday, Sept. 20, while playing one of their best games to date, as the team finished the night with a season high hitting percentage hitting .261 as a team. The efficient attacking from the Centurions allowed the team to sweep Kuyper College with scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.Â
Freshman Piper Groesser had a season high 12 kills, while hitting .450. Leading the way defensively was Freshman Kelsey Antcliff who picked up 8 digs and Maia Sexton who picked up 3 blocks. Setting up the offense was Freshman Tiana Whitacre who recorded 21 assists and a career and team high 6 service aces.Â
The next home volleyball game is Wednesday, September 27, at 6:30 p.m. against Grand Rapids Community College.
