Frozen Survival: The Hidden Science of Frostbite and Human Resilience

Ìý

Syreeta Drake, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Nursing Instructor, will be discussing the fascinating topic of how the body responds to cold weather on Tuesday, February 4, at 12:05 p.m. in the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Library. Drawing from the book, she will explain the stages of frostbite, what can be done after frostbite occurs, and other critical aspects of how our bodies strive to keep us alive in cold conditions, especially when we are unprepared. This presentation promises to be both informative and engaging, offering valuable insights into human physiology, the psychological mind and survival. This is a free community event with refreshments provided.
